Valencia, Dec 3 (efe-epa).- Spanish tennis player David Ferrer, the world No. 37, told EFE on Sunday that he was still able to perform well at 35.
Ferrer spoke with the media during the first edition of Tennis Party, an event held by Spain's tennis federation to boost the game among young people.
"Without a doubt, next year I can improve," Ferrer told EFE during the event, which featured many current and former Spanish tennis stars, including Alex Corretja, Pablo Carreño Busta and Carla Suarez Navarro.
"I will start the pre-season shortly and I am looking forward to getting started, and to face another year and try to improve," Ferrer said.
Ferrer said he would not set a specific goal for next season, but the objective was to put on a good performance.
Ferrer, a former top 10 player, opened the door to playing in the Feb. 2-4 Davis Cup tie against England.
