Irving helps Boston extend winning streak with victory over Dallas

Boston, Dec 6 (efe-epa).- Boston Celtics guard Kyrie Irving scored 23 points to lead his team to a 97-90 win against the Dallas Mavericks at the TD Garden in Boston on Wednesday, the Celtics fourth consecutive victory.
The Celtics (22-4), who have won six of their last seven games and eight of the last ten, improved to 12-2 at home this season and remain top of the Atlantic Division.
Jayson Tatum recorded a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds and Al Horford from the Dominican Republic scored 17 points in 33 minutes for the Celtics, who won despite the absence of Jaylen Brown and Marcus Morris, who sat out the game due to injuries.
Horford made seven of his 17 shots from the field and also recorded eight rebounds, eight assists and a double-digit score for the sixth consecutive game.
The Mavericks (7-18), placed last in the Southwest Division, were led by Harrison Barnes, who scored 19 points while Dirk Nowitzki pitched in with 16 and Maximilian Kleber with 13.
Dallas Mavericks back-up point guard Jose Juan Barea scored nine points in 25 minutes of play, made three of his nine shots from the field, and also managed five rebounds and six assists.
