Union de Santa Fe clobbers Temperley 3-0 in Supercopa Argentina play

Buenos Aires, Mar 13 (efe-epa).- Union de Santa Fe rolled to a 3-0 win over Temperley, moving up four spots into 7th place in the Supercopa Argentina standings.
Union, which has 31 points following Monday's easy victory, trails standings leader Boca Juniors by 15 points.
Franco Soldano scored two goals and Lucas Gamba put Temperley away, sealing the win for Union de Santa Fe.
In other action on Monday, Defensa y Justicia played to a 1-1 tie with Belgrano, while Newell's Old Boys knocked off San Martin de San Juan 2-0.
Boca Juniors, with 46 points, has a solid grip on first place in the standings, while Talleres holds second place, with 38 points, and Independiente is in third, just three points behind.
Arsenal is in last place, with just 11 points in the Supercopa Argentina.
Patronato's Sebastian Ribas is the leading scorer, with 11 goals, followed by Dario Benedetto, of Boca Juniors, Lautaro Martinez, of Racing Club, and Union's Soldano, with nine goals each.
On Wednesday, River Plate and Boca Juniors will meet in Mendoza for the "Superclassic."
Boca, the defending champion and on track for another title run, is coming off a 2-1 win over Tigre last Saturday, while River Plate pulled off a 1-0 victory against Patronato on a goal by Adrian Balboa in the final minute of play in a match played in Parana.
River Plate is in 18th place in the Supercopa Argentina, with 23 points.
