Raptors tie series at 2-2 after comfortable 120-102 win against Bucks

Toronto, Canada, May 21 (efe-epa).- The Toronto Raptors defeated the Milwaukee Bucks 120-102 in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference finals at Scotiabank Arena on Tuesday, despite a relative off-night from their star forward Kawhi Leonard.

With the win, the Raptors tied the best-of-seven series at 2-2. Game 5 will be played on Thursday in Milwaukee.

Leonard, who has scored at least 30 points in every game in this year's playoffs, ended with 19 points after being limited to 34 minutes due to an injury.

The Raptors' win was a team effort, with key contributions by Kyle Lowry, who scored 25 points, Norman Powell, who added 18, Marc Gasol, who scored 17 and Serge Ibaka, who had a double-double of 17 points and 13 rebounds.

Lowry also grabbed five rebounds and made six assists while Gasol put up five rebounds and made seven assists as the Raptors dominated the scoring for the first time in the series.

Coach Nick Nurse was particularly pleased with his bench players who stepped up to support Lowry and Leonard.

"One of the biggest pluses that we've seen here in the last couple of games is that we are functioning very well. We have to go function without (Lowry and Leonard) sometimes, and it's nice to be able to do that so they can gather (themselves)," Raptors coach Nick Nurse said in the post-game press conference.

Lowry echoed his coach's thoughts, praising the contributions of the Toronto bench.

"We needed it. This might be our third game of the playoffs where everyone stepped up and played", Lowry said.

"We knew Kawhi was a little bit limited, and we had to come out and be aggressive for him".

Small forward Khris Middleton led the scoring for Milwaukee with 30 points, seven assists and six rebounds while star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 25 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and made five assists.

Nikola Mirotic added 11 points and Brook Lopez another eight.

"It's probably the first night defensively where don't feel like we were close to where you need to be to give yourselves a chance, so credit to Toronto. They obviously played well, had a lot of guys step up and play, while their bench was very good (...) we're just going to have to be better," Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer said after the game.
