Barcelona, Aug 23 (efe-epa).- Barcelona captain, Lionel Messi, completed on Friday the Catalan club’s training session without problems raising hopes he would be cleared to play at the forthcoming La Liga clash.
Messi returned to training on Wednesday for the first time after sustaining a right leg injury on 5 August.
While Barça yearns for its captain’s comeback for the game against Real Betis, it is still working on convincing Paris Sant Germain and Brazil forward Neymar to agree on either a transfer or loan.
With each passing day, Barcelona is running out of steam to secure Neymar, who is still with the French side despite his desire to leave.
The transfer window has only got one week before closing.
Barcelona’s training session focused on preparing a strong line-up after head coach Ernesto Valverde lost forwards Ousmane Dembele and Luis Suarez to injury, whilst it also waits for Messi’s medical greenlight.
Brazil midfielder Rafinha Alcantara did not take part in Friday’s session due to stomach problems, according to the club.

Barcelona will host the next La Liga match against Real Betis on Sunday at Camp Nou stadium. EFE
