Prince Harry of England, fiancée Markle make first official outing together

Nottingham, UK, Dec 1 (efe-epa).- Prince Harry of England and his American fiancée Meghan Markle made their first Royal outing on Friday since they announced their engagement, greeting excited crowds in the central English city of Nottingham during an official walkabout before attending a charity fair on the occasion of World Aids Day.

Harry, 33, and Markle, 36, chatted with several of the thousands of royal fans who gathered to catch a glimpse of the famous couple, just days after announcing their plans to wed in Saint George's Chapel within Windsor Castle in May 2018.

"Prince Harry has been to Nottingham many times before and is delighted to be introducing the city to Ms. Markle," Kensington Palace said in a Twitter post.

It was the Los Angeles-born actor Markle's first taste of royal duty.

Yet both are renowned for their charity work and following the public meet-and-greet in Nottingham city center, they attended a charity fair organized by the Terrence Higgins Trust to raise awareness for HIV/AIDS.

Harry is the second son of Charles, the Prince of Wales, from his marriage to Princess Diana and is fifth in line to succeed the throne of the UK.

Markle made her name in the acting world starring in the US series "Suits."
