Elton John brings back his golden 70s in Barcelona concert

Barcelona, Spain, Dec 3 (efe-epa).- British rock pop legend Sir Elton John, 70, brought back the good old memories of his golden 1970s music in a resounding concert on Sunday in the Palau Sant Jordi, in Barcelona.

In front of the more than 15,000 people that have filled the concert venue, the show kicked off with Sir Elton John, dressed in a black frock-coat with sequins, reciting one of his most memorable 70s masterpieces, "The Bitch Is Back", followed by his other songs of the same era, including "Bennie and the Jets", "I Guess That's Why They Call It the Blues", "Take Me to the Pilot" and "Daniel", among others.

The journey through the seventies that the British legend embarked on in his Barcelona concert also included the much newer "I Want Love", a song in tribute to those perished during attacks "in concerts, markets and streets".

The singer noted in Barcelona, a city that also suffered a deadly terrorist attack three months ago, that in recent years there are so many deaths that he can't bear, and he wants his children to grow up in a more tolerant world.

But in the final leg of the concert, rock again gained prominence with "Crocodile Rock" and "Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting", and the public felt a spring in their fett that forced them to abandon their seats.

Then, Sir Elton John momentarily left the stage and came back a few minutes later with an encore performance, featuring "Candle in the Wind", the song that united him forever to the memory of Princess Diana.

The whole stadium was standing on their feet and flashing lights from their mobile phones held high as the British legendary rock star concluded.
